Growing Negro participation in Jewish-sponsored demonstrations against anti-Semitism was reported today by the Jewish Labor Committee. Instances where Negro groups and individuals have taken part in protest actions organized by the Jewish community were cited by Emanuel Muravchik, JLC national director.
“This is a most gratifying trend because it demonstrates that some Negro civil rights activists see their battle for human rights as a universal one, applying to all of the oppressed, no matter what their religion or skin color,” Mr. Muravchik said.
