The creation of a national council of Jewish trade unions in the Republic of Poland was taken up at the first meeting of the Jewish Labor Congress, which opened here today.

Addresses and reports presented at the first session emphasized the need of the Jewish laboring class’s fight for the right to work. It is planned that the national council of the Jewish trade unions will deal with this aspect and particularly with the great number of Jewish workers who were thrown out of the factories and enterprises when the changed ownership followed the introduction of government monopoly.
