Adolfo Kates, local Jewish leader, was decorated by the government here with the Modal of the 100th Anniversary of the Cuban Flag. Mr. Kates is honorary president of the 1951 United Israel Campaign in Cuba. This is the second decoration bestowed upon him by the Cuban Government in appreciation of his services to the country.
S.M. Kaplan, political director of the Zionist Federation of Cuba and editor of the local Yiddish newspaper Havaner Leben, has been named delegate to the forthcoming World Zionist Congress which will take place next July in Jerusalem. He had the support of all existing Zionist groups in Cuba.
