Jewish Leader of Rumanian Peasant Party Resigns in Protest Against Anti-semitic Speech

A prominent Jewish leader of the Rumanian Peasant Party, Aureliu Weiss, has resigned in protest against the recent address by Ion Mihalache, deputy leader of the party, in which he warned Jews against seeking political posts “to which they are not entitled.” All Jewish members of the Peasant Party are expected to resign shortly.
