A delegation of CRIF, the central representative organization of French Jewry, conferred today with the Paris chief of police on a number of recent anti-Semitic incidents.
The Jewish delegation underlined the danger to the Jewish community growing out of a recent newspaper and anonymous poster campaign aimed at Jews. The police chief expressed the view that there was no campaign and that the anti-Semitic incidents were individual manifestations.
He promised that the proper police officials would be instructed to deal with the matter. Similar assurances have been given the International League Against Anti-Semitism and the Association of Jewish Veterans.
