More than $900,000 in cash was presented here today for support of the world-wide humanitarian programs financed through the United Jewish Appeal as 700 Jewish leaders from major communities throughout the Tri-State Region brought Western Pennsylvania. West Virginia and Eastern Ohio into the U.J. A.’s 1952 nationwide campaign for $151,500,000.
This action highlighted an all-day session at the William Penn Hotel of a regional conference and luncheon which met to consider implementation of urgent immigration, settlement, welfare and rehabilitation programs in Israel, Europe, Moslem countries and the United States.
