A bloody clash between Zionist Revisionists and General Zionists occurred in a synagogue at Castoria when the Revisionists insisted, despite opposition by the community, upon explaining the political program of Vladimir Jabotinsky, leader of the Revisionist movement.
More than fifteen persons were injured and several leaders of the riot were arrested, reports from Castoria indicate. The rioting lasted at least an hour and was finally broken up when the police entered the house of prayer and took the leaders of the disturbance into custody.
Fifteen of the injured Revisionists protested that Communists were responsible for the disturbance. They asked for measures which would avoid graver occurrences in the future.
