The Yiddish and Hebrew PEN Clubs of America, whose members consist of poets, essayists and novelists, have decided not to send delegations to the 27th annual congress of the International PEN which is taking place now in Vienna, it was learned here today.

The two Jewish literary clubs in this country, informed the headquarters of the PEN London that they consider Vienna an unsuitable place to hold the congress in view of the fact that the city was the scene of many Nazi outrages against the Jews. The memory of that recent history, the writers asserted, would make it impossible for a Jewish writer to take up problems in such a place.
