Jewish merchants and manufacturers who observe the Sabbath and the Jewish holy days will be exempt from any charge for warehousing their goods at railroad depots on such days, according to recent legislative regulations. Jewish children will be excused from attending school from 10 to 12 in the morning in order to enable them to attend divine services.

These measures assuring freedom of conscience to the Jewish population are due both to King Alexander I and to Prime Minister Milan Srskic.
