Jewish merchants may keep their books in Yiddish or Hebrew, according to an ordinance issued by the Minister of Finance.

The new ordinance concerning the question which caused wide agitation some time ago provides that all corporations or cooperative societies must keep their books in Polish. All other business enterprises may keep their books in any language the proprietors choose with the specification, however, that the accounts must be written in Latin characters.
