The British High Commissioner of the island of Cyprus rejected the demands of the Greek Archbishop of the island that entrance of German Jews into Cyprus and the purchase of lands by foreigners be prohibited, according to word received here.
In his reply to the prelate, who has been distinguished by his anti-Semitic activities, the High Commissioner pointed out that Jews have acquired only 176 dunams of land in Cyprus within recent months.
