The executive committee of the Jewish National Council today cabled to the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee in Moscow greeting the third annual meeting of the committee, which opens in the Soviet capital next week.
“We greet you, brethren, and through you all the people of the Soviet Union and the heroic Red Army,” the cable said. It also appealed to Russian Jews to aid in the rescue of European Jewry, to help keep Palestine’s gates open to Jewish immigration and to support the struggle for the “restoration of the independence of the Jewish National Home in Palestine,” The message concluded with an expression of confidence that the appeal will meet with a ready response from Russian Jewry and all the people of the Soviet Union.
