The executive of the Jewish National Council today sabled to Premier Joseph Stalin expressing Palestine Jewry’s “heartfelt congra tulations to you, as the great leader of the Soviet Union and to the Red Army and all the peoples of the Soviet Union on the glorious victory over fascism and Nazism won by the Red Army together with the other Allies.
The cable says that the Jewish people, “which suffered more than all others from Nazi cruelty, participated actively in the war and “is confident that after victory it will be firmly re-established in its ancient homeland whose gates will be flung open and our people reborn as a free nation within the family of free nations.”
