Several prominent Jewish leaders are included in the list of more than 200 instructors who will participate in the New York University School of Education Summer Session program of courses for a “new era in society and education,” which Dean Milton E. Loomis, director, made public today.
Changes both in technique of instruction have been designed in the new courses” to appraise the fundamental social changes that are constantly taking place.”
The courses are expected “to perfect a program to give the student of education a vivid and intelligent understanding of the actual processes of community life.”
Magistrate Jonah J. Goldstein and Dr. John Slawson, executive secretary of the Jewish Board of Guardians; Robert E. Simon, member of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York; Rabbi Stephen S. Wise and Dr. Iago Galdston, executive secretary of the Medical Information Bureau of the New York Academy of Medicine, are among the speakers.
