The United Jewish People’s Order has been expelled from membership in the Jewish Community Council here, by a vote of 73 to 35, on charges that its views parallel the anti-Jewish views voiced recently in the press in Moscow and other Communist countries.
Expulsion from the Community Council includes denial of the use of the faculties of the Community Center and the columns of the Jewish Western Bulletin, a local publication. Dr. J. V. While president of the Council, urged the Order to seek to bring its views closer to those of the majority of the Council so that it might be reconsidered for membership in the future.
