THE JEWISH PARTY OBTAINED APPROXIMATELY 46,000 VOTES, OR 1.4 PER CENT OF THE TOTAL BALLOTS CAST IN LAST WEEK’S PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS, DR. SAMUEL SINGER, PARTY LEADER, ANNOUNCED TODAY. HE SAID IT HAD NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED WHETHER THE LAW ALLOWING REPRESENTATION ONLY WHEN TWO PER CENT OF THE TOTAL VOTES WAS OBTAINED WOULD BE APPLIED, SINCE NO PARTY SUCCEEDED IN GETTING AN ABSOLUTE MAJORITY. IF THE LAW IS NOT TO BE APPLIED, THE JEWISH PARTY WILL PROBABLY HAVE FOUR REPRESENTATIVES IN PARLIAMENT, DR. THEODOR FISCHER, JULIUS FISCHER, RABBI ZERELSON AND DR. MEYER EBNER.
