With the memory still fresh of the incident which occurred at the Polish physicians’ convention in Ciechocienek, where the Jewish physicians were segregated in a separate banquet hall, the result of the elections to the physicians’ association in Warsaw and in Bialystok attracted wide attention.

Of the 1,670 votes cast in the election for new officers, only 470 were cast for candidates of the anti-Semitic National Democratic Party. A mixed list of Polish and Jewish physicians was elected.
