Turkey’s total Jewish population in 1960 was 43,000, according to official census figures issued here by the Government today. Of the total, 35,485 lived in this city. Jewish leaders stated here today that the overall Jewish population in the country is somewhat smaller now than it was in 1960, due to emigration, principally to Israel.
