The Jewish Publication Society of America has completed the delivery of over 1,000,000 copies of prayer books ordered by the National Jewish Welfare Board for the use of men and women of the Jewish faith in the armed forces of the United States, it was announced here today. Now in its fifty-seventh year, the Society has printed 200,000 abridged prayer books for Jewish servicemen in World War I.
Besides these prayer books, the Jewish Publication Society has printed for the JWB 362, 790 copies of a High Holy Day Prayer Book and, early in 1944 delivered 137, 000 Haggadahs for Passover.
