Jewish refugee children from 13 countries, now residing at Ayonoth – an agricultural settlement run by the Women’s International Zionist Organization – today gave eye-witness accounts to Dr. Chaim Weizmann of the horrors they underwent before being rescued and brought to Palestine.
In a brief address, thanking the children for presenting him with a certificate attesting to the fact that a number of trees had been planted in his honor in Palestine, Dr. Weizmann expressed the hope that all those who are seeking to flee Europe to escape similar hardships will be allowed to enter Palestine.
