The plan to settle Jews in the Bureya region in Siberia, sponsored by the Comzet, the Soviet governmental department for settling Jews on the land, is viewed by the Jewish population here with great interest. Many Jewish refugees who came to the Far East from Russia place hopes in the new plan.

The Harbin press, in commenting on the plan, states that many Jews will leave China and Manchuria to settle in the new region.
