A message of greetings has been sent to President Avila Camacho by the Menorah association of German-Jewish refugees here, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Mexico’s 1917 constitution, it was reported today.
The message expresses the thanks of the Jews from Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia who have been admitted to Mexico and pledges the support of each of these in Mexico’s fight for freedom and democracy. “We are happy that we found new homes in Mexico and we are proud that we are no longer to be considered citizens of Germany,” the message stated.
