Twenty-five Jewish refugee families numbering 110 people have been settled upon 3,790 acres of land in Western Canada since the formation of the Land Settlement Committee of the Canadian Jewish Congress, according to a report made public here today.
The refugees have invested $30,000 in their farms and have received from the Land Settlement Committee loans amounting to $16,000. Some of them have already made repayments on their loans and the progress accomplished can be considered satisfactory, the Committee stated.
