The headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in the South-West Pacific area today announced that permission has been granted to a Jewish relief unit to proceed from Australia to Shanghai to conduct relief activities among the Jewish refugees there.
The Jewish unit will consist of doctors, nurses and social workers. In connection with the UNRRA announcement, it was pointed out here that Sydney will become the center for Jewish relief activities in the Far East.
