Nationwide observance of Jewish Education Month and Week during the period from September 10th to October 15th was announced today by Mark Eisner, president of the American Association for Jewish Education which sponsors the observance in conjunction with the National Council for Jewish Education.
The observance, which is designed to stimulate an interest in Jewish education and the growth of Jewish schools will be marked by a concentrated drive by Jewish religious schools in cities throughout the country to increase their registration rolls and to urge parents to send their children to Jewish religious school for longer periods of time, the announcement said.
