Charges often expressed in public and in newspapers that Jewish sabotage brought about Germany’s defeat in the World War have been published in book form by the Nazi Party.
Agriculture Minister Walther Darre, author of the book, repeats his frequently voiced contention that Jewish statisticians were responsible for the slaughter of more than 16,000,000 pigs during the war under the assumption that they consumed too much potatoes needed for the army.
“The decrease from more than 25 million pigs in 1913,” he writes, “to nine million in 1917, which was due to the Jews Eltzbacher and Kuczynski among others, brought about a food shortage in the German army leading to collapse.”
Summing up, Mr. Darre charges that Germany was defeated not by military but by economic action through internal sabotage.
