A delegation of Polish leaders in government and other areas were joined today by Austrian Government officials and members of the diplomatic corps in unveiling a memorial on the 11th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen and Gusen concentration camps.
Kazimierz Mijal, a member of the Polish Cabinet, who headed the delegation, recalled that 30,000 Polish nationals had perished among the 165,000 victims of the Mauthausen death camp. Jewish, Protestant and Catholic religious services closed the riles.
