Fire from a shotgun spattered the windows and doorways of several Jewish shops and the Jewish Community Center at Salvador, capital of Bahia Province, last night. The firing came from a swiftly moving automobile of German manufacture. No one was injured.
The perpetrators of the attack were not identified, but police believe the firing was done by members of a terrorist group. There are about 500 Jewish families in Salvador.
