A protest meeting attended by two thousand Jewish street venders was held here last night to protest against the recently promulgated city ordinance prohibiting street trading.
The Jewish members of the City Council were asked to intervene for the withdrawal of the ordinance which in prohibiting street trading in old clothes. deprives three thousand Jewish families of their livelihood.
