Jewish students, protesting the treatment of Jews in Russia, held a 12-hour torchlight vigil in front of the Soviet Embassy here last night and then paraded through the city. There were about 250 participants. The demonstrators tried to present the Russian Ambassador with a copy of a letter written by 18 Jews from the Soviet Georgian Republic demanding the right to emigrate to Israel. The Ambassador refused to accept it.
