Ernestine S. Rose is among those whose name is to be recorded on a national roll of honor, according to action taken by the National League of Women Voters at their biennial convention in Louisville.
The names will be inscribed on a bronze tablet, which will be housed in the national headquarters at Washington, where it will be unveiled at a general council meeting of the League sometime next Fall.
Ernestine Rose, the daughter of a Polish rabbi, and the wife of a British army officer, was one of the pioneer suffragists in America and until her death in 1894, played a significant part in the fight for the emancipation of women.
