Demonstrations of Jewish unemployed have become a daily occurrence in Riga, and acts of violence in connection with them are frequent. A Jewish bakery and a Jewish People’s kitchen have been wrecked by demonstrators. Jewish Communists have joined the unemployed and are provoking them to disorder.

Many young Jews have been arrested by the police, and there is a feeling of extreme tension among the Jewish population of the city.
