The Jewish War Veterans of the United States will observe Independence Day tomorrow with exercises in the amphitheatre at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Millard E. Tydings, U. S. Senator from Maryland, will be guest speaker at the ceremonies honoring the war dead. The U. S. Naval Band will play.
Hundreds of representatives are expected from New York, Providence, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Washington. The national president of the Jewish War Veterans, William Berman of New York, will present a silver insignia of the organization which will be placed among the mementos in the chapel dedicated to the Unknown Soldier.
A number of veteran and welfare organizations will be present.
The Washington committee in charge of arrangements is composed of the local commander, Dr. Ivy Pelzman, George G. Cohen of the Jewish Welfare Board, Samuel Rose, Joseph Barr, A. Shefferman, Dr. Alec Rosenblum and N. S. Silverberg.
