Means of increasing service to men and women in the armed forces were explored at a dinner last night when Army and Navy officials assigned to deal with the welfare needs of service men met with a group of service agencies to review what is being done and what can be done to improve that service. The dinner was given by the Greater New York Army and Navy Committee of the Jewish Welfare Board at the Hotel Commodore.

Among the questions discussed were: Whether the larger or medium sized club is preferable for the service men, whether the community is rendering adequate service to men returning to hospitals and at ports of embarkation; also, whether there should be more inter-agency activities sponsored by joint religious groups. Frank L. Weil, president of the J.W.B., Walter Rothschild, chairman of the J.W.B.’s Army and Navy Committee, and Ralph E. Samuel were the principal speakers.
