The shipment of all the religious materials and kosher food supplies required to enable Jewish GI’s serving with the American armed forces at Army, Navy and Air Force installations throughout the world to participate in Passover seders, April 20 and 21, was completed today by the National Jewish Welfare Board.

Planning for the overseas shipments, including making the necessary arrangements with the military, was started late in the summer of 1950 by JWB, the government-recognized agency for serving the religious, welfare and morals needs of Jewish armed forces personnel and hospitalized Jewish veterans. Shipments to Korea, Japan, Alaska, the Philippines, Hawaii, Guam, Okinawa, Germany, Austria and Panama include large quantities of matzoth, wine, kosher meat and fish, Haggadahs, holiday leaflets and greeting cards.
