American Jewish women raised more than $10,000,000 for the 1950 United Jewish Appeal so far, Mrs. S. Alexander Brailove of Elizabeth, N.J., national chairman of the Women’s Division of the United Jewish Appeal, announced here prior to her departure for Europe and Israel with her husband, Dr. S. Alexander Brailove, on the SS Caronia.
While overseas, Mrs. Brailove will inspect U.J.A. -supported installations, and will study the problems confronting Israel in its vast program of immigrant absorption. In the Jewish state, she will confer with leaders of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency. She will visit Israel for three weeks.
