That the sisterhood of a Jewish temple is the left hand of the rabbi and the right hand of the congregation was the statement made by Mrs. Marius Ranson, wife of Rabbi Marius Ranson, when she was elected president of the Sisterhood of Temple Sharey Tefilo. Mrs. Clarence Nathan of South Orange, the outgoing president, read her annual report and in addition gave a report of four years office as president.
Other officers elected were Mrs. Edward Friend of West Orange, Mrs. Frederick Samuels of East Orange, Mrs. Abraham Barnett of East Orange, Mrs. Lothar Ullman of Caldwell, and Mrs. Sumner Gutman of East Orange.
