Tass, the Soviet news agency, reports that in Minsk, Mohilev and Korosten, the Jewish women have voluntarily submitted gold and silver articles for the Soviet gold industrialization fund. The newspaper “Oktiabr” describes the scenes in Minsk when aged Jewish women brought their candlesticks, rings, necklaces earrings and even samovars for the fund.
