The United States was urged to continue its aid to Israel this week-end in a resolution adopted by the concluding session of the five-day 20th triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women. The parley was attended by some 800 delegates form 235 local chapters in all parts of the country.
The resolution declared that Israel has ”made significant contribution to democracy through building a new life of dignity and independence for its people. ” A second resolution requested new national immigration legislation to ”eliminate all discrimination which the quota, because of race or national origin.” Mrs.,. Irving M. Engel was re-elected president.
