Jewish workers in the shoe factory in Briansk broke up a meeting and precipitated a fight when the question of working Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur, the earnings to go to the Bira Bidjan fund, arose. While the factory administration remained neutral, a group of religiously inclined workers attacked the atheists.

Reports indicate that the anti-religious campaign in Russia will fail, due to the inability of the provincial Communists to organize. This is indicated even by the “Emes,” Moscow Communist Yiddish daily.
