The Congress for Jewish Culture, an association of writers, artists, educators and intellectuals, sent a greeting to Israeli President Zalman Shazar congratulating him upon the publication of his collection of poetry entitled Parish Poems. The greeting by telegram was sent to Shazar prior to his departure for Israel two days ago. The book of poetry, published late last year in Tel Aviv by “Dl Goldene Keyt,” consists of 25 original poems, some of which are based on the motifs of traditional Jewish prayers expressing the Messianic hope of redemption.
