A group of 22 Brazilian Jewish youths left for Israel this weekend-after completing a year of pioneer training at an agricultural training center. All are members of the Hashomer Hatzair and plan to settle in a Hashomer Hatzair collective settlement in the Negev.
Next month, it was revealed here today, a group of Brazilian Jewish young men and women plan to sail to Israel where they will spend one year in voluntary service in Israeli border settlements, working the land and helping to build Israel’s defenses.
