Four Arabs and three Jews constitute the new Municipal Council elected in Safed in place of the Municipal Council which was dissolved when the administration of the town became practically impossible after the massacre of August 1929 and a British Officer was appointed to conduct its affairs.
The four Arabs are Salah-ed-Din Qaddura; Ali Rida Nahawi; Mohammed Salim Shamma, and Khalil Yusef Rustom; and the three Jews are David Bar, Yahuda Anteibi and Zindel Kahan.
