Jews and blacks rallied on the steps of the Georgia capitol Wednesday to protest restoring the old state flag, which would include a Confederate symbol. Neil Falis, a member of the Black-Jewish Coalition of Atlanta, was quoted by a local TV station as saying, “How as Jews can we not fight with the black community against a symbol, the Confederate Battle Cross, that has been used by groups such as the Ku Klux Klan to symbolize hatred of Jews as well as of blacks?”
