“Germany locks like it is becoming a great military power once more and may become the center of a new wave of anti-Semitism,” Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the American Section of the Jewish Agency, declared here last night at the opening of the United Israel Appeal.
He warned that Jews were “on the edge of a volcano,” and must make their utmost efforts to save endangered communities before it is too late. Dr. Goldmann stressed that Israel has spent 25 percent more on immigration than it has received from all foreign funds combined.
