Gifts from members of the local Jewish community to the University of California were announced by the board of regents.
From Mrs. E. S. Heller came $2,000 for the work of the Heller Committee in Economic Research. Mortimer Fleishhacker gave $500 for the purchase and maintenance of the university’s rhododendron collection. Daniel Koshland contributed $100 to the same fund.
