Jews Debate Getting out of Munich

Jewish merchants in Munich were considering today the advisability of liquidating their enterprises as a result of anti-Jewish outbreaks during the last few days which assumed a serious character yesterday when Jewish stores were attacked by Nazi groups.

Although the majority of the non-Jewish population in the city is anxious to patronize Jewish business firms, the proprietors were forced yesterday to close their stores because of Nazi violence. Nazi pickets, stationed in front of every Jewish store, prevented customers from entering and threatened them with violence.

FIST FIGHT BREAKS OUT

Fist fights between non-Jewish customers and uniformed Nazis broke out in front of Jewish stores when the Nazis molested the customers. Defying the pickets, many non-Jewish women demonstratively entered the Jewish stores to do their shopping.

Police patrols were called out to prevent more serious dosturbances. The police, however, was helpless against the Nazi pickets, since the picketing was organized under instructions from the Nazi leaders in the Brown House.

Fearing invasion of their stores, Jews closed their shops early in the afternoon immediately after it became clear that the Nazi pickets were determined to wreck some of the Jewish establishments in the center of the city. The glass doors
