The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Dollfuss, and the Academic authorities of the Commercial Academy, including the Pro-Rector, did not attempt to interfere while 40 Jewish students were forced to leave one of the lecture halls in the Commercial Academy where Dr. Dollfuss was to deliver an address.
The Catholic Section of the German Students’ Union, which had arranged the function, called upon all non-Aryans to leave the hall, and proceeded to carry the demand into effect. Dr. Dollfuss and the academic authorities claim that they were the guests of the Catholic Students’ Union and could not interfere in its arrangements.
