In seven provinces. Warsaw. Lodz, Kielce, Lublin, Bialystock, Vilna and Volhynia, constituting about half the area of Poland. the results of the recent Municipal elections have already been announced.
So far, the Polish Right parties are at the head of the list with 490 seats. The Jewish ourgeois parties come next, with 402 seats. The Jewish National Bloc has 276. The independent Zionist lists has 19, the independent Orthodox list has 55, the Jewish Democratic groups have 12, and the Jewish Artisans have 40.
The Polish Socialist Party has secured 371 seats. The Jewish Socialist parties have secured 115 seats. Of these the Poale Zion (Right and Left) have 43 seats, and the Jewish Socalist Party Bund has 72.
In all 1.597 Councillors have been elected in 68 towns. 541 of them being Jews, about a third of the total number.
