Risking their lives, three Jews today took desperate chances to deliver esrogim (the citron required in the ritual of the Jewish festival of the Feast of Tabernacles which starts October 7) from Poland to Russia where esrogim are unobtainable. Their daring attempt was unsuccessful and they were caught at Stolpcy, on the Russo-Polish border. Their load of esrogim was confiscated and all three arrested as smugglers.
